The workshop instructor, Leno Rose-Avila, will work with participants to design and write a script and then perform it. This workshop is an artistic journey, not a lecture. Participants must therefore be prepared need to commit to at least three weeks of fun.
Leno Rose-Avila, activist and theater buff, will be instructor for this workshop. Leno was the founder of Teatro del Valle (1968) and later wrote and performed with Teatro de Ustedes in Colorado (1969-73). Leno also taught teatro for three semesters at the university Colorado and has acted in musicals, Shakespeare productions, and many other theater mediums both in Colorado and Los Angeles. He presently serves as the executive director of Social Justice Fund NW.
Participants should dress in comfortable clothes for all sessions and should be prepared to be up and moving!
